The South  Plains  Sweethearts  is  a 501c3 nonprofit  organization  that  was established in 2022 after we noticed the number of exhibitors who traveled to the Alamo City from the South Plains and saw an opportunity to reward West Texas youth for their hard work. These exhibitors have spent countless hours caring for these animals, preparing them for judging and the opportunity to sell them in one of the most prestigious Junior Livestock Auctions in the nation.

Less than 10% of animals exhibited in the San Antonio Junior Livestock Show qualify for the Junior Livestock Auction. As 4-H parents and FFA supporters, we understand how much time, effort, and responsibility go into raising animals for livestock shows!

To date, the South Plains Sweethearts have raised over $100,000 to support our 806 exhibitors! At the 2024 San Antonio Junior Livestock Auction, we contributed to over 150 exhibitors from various FFA chapters & 4-H clubs located across the South Plains.
